Convening for high school Science Research Mentoring Programs

My team at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and I are hosting a 3-part conference to bring together leaders of high school Science Research Mentoring Programs from across the country, funded by a grant from NSF INCLUDES (#2432355; SRMPCon).

We are focusing on programs that serve high school youth from backgrounds that are underrepresented and historically excluded in STEM and that provide opportunities for these students to work directly with professional scientists on research projects. The goal of this conference is to find ways to work together to make our institutions better places for youth to experience great mentorship in STEM research.

Please review our website to learn more, decide if this is a good fit for you, and apply. We will provide funding for one person from each selected program to attend a 3-day meeting in NYC, including flight and hotel. The application deadline is December 13, 2024.

Please share this information with networks you are part of and any programs you think might be interested! And please feel free to reach out with any questions.
